2013 started off as an exciting year with the fabrication and installment of a pipe bridge that measured 168′ long, 12′ wide and 12′ high, which crossed the Kern River near Gordon’s Ferry. The project consisted of:
- Fabrication of the bridge in 3 sections; two 59-foot long sections and one 50-foot long section
- Fabrication of stainless steel containment duct to contain fluid leaks
- Fabrication of 10-inch steam lines that cross bridge
- Shipping of bridge to installation site
- Installation of 8 piping systems across the bridge (2 steam, 6 production)
- Installation of 4 CIDH piers
- Spliced bridge sections and steam lines
- Placed bridge on CIDH piers
- Installed containment duct and production lines
- Install outboard pipe supports
- 100% incident free project with over 9,000 recorded manhours
